The art of Fefa Lins

”I wanted to make a parallel between the painting processes with the construction of bodies. Our bodies are a free field to be transformed – and transformed beyond heteronormative expectations.”, Fefa Lins. Lins moves past traditional self-portraiture, using his canvas to investigate how identity shifts outside societal norms. He contrasts the immediacy of digital photography with the permanence of oil painting—a technique that allows him to capture the non-binary experience not just as a fleeting moment, but as a lasting, painterly fact.
