Love is Beautiful: Wearable Queer History

A collaboration between Julia B Aguiar and Carlos Bocai presents Love is Beautiful, a design initiative created for the Future Print Club in 2020. Channeling the aesthetic of 1970s Brazilian alternative press, the project manifests as a wearable timeline of the nation's LGBTQIA+ civil rights struggle. By translating historical data into a graphic statement, the work serves as both a history lesson and a call to action. All proceeds supported Casa 1, an NGO providing sanctuary for queer youth in Brazil, effectively merging graphic design with direct social impact.
